With the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp I think it is a good time to create my top of all MCU Movies. I will add all 20 released MCU movies in this blog. When Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel will be released, I will try to add them too. I hope you are a bit agreed with my opinion and respect it. Ok, here we go:

20: The Incredible Hulk 2/10

Why don’t I like this movie?

The Incredible Hulk

We start this top with the second movie of the MCU. It is by far the least favourite MCU movie of a lot of people, and for me it is any different. The main reason why I don’t like this movie is that is so useless in the MCU, because almost all character (Except Bruce Banner and Thaddeus Ross) didn’t appear in later released movies. The second reason why I don’t like it is because of the actor of Bruce Banner, Edward Norton. I haven’t seen any other movies of this actor, but it is probably one of the most insensitive actors I have ever seen. He can’t identify in the role, because of that. My third reason for not liking this MCU movies is Betty Ross. She feel so useless in this movie that she is already becoming annoying after a couple of minutes. She only walks around in the movie, because the script writers feel like they need to add a female character and a love interest for Bruce Banner. But with Betty Ross, they better could have didn’t appear in this movie. Fourth, the movie is pretty short. It is the shortest MCU reason along with Thor: The Dark World. But the worse thing with this is also that there are some things in the movie which are not needed in the movie, like the scenes with Mr. Blue and the beginning scenes in Brazil. They could have easily deleted this scenes in the movie and it won’t be any difference. And to talk about Mr. Blue AKA Samuel Sterns, his character finally became interesting since it looked like he became the Leader at the end of the movie. He never appeared again in a movie and this feels so stupid. I hoped he would appear in an Avengers movie, since they aren’t allowed to create Hulk movies again. But this also never happened. In conclusion, this is a movie you can easily forget. There isn’t any interesting in this movie and in my opinion you can better not watch this movie since it is a waste of your time.

What do I like about this movie?

I don’t like that much about this movie. The action scenes are okay, but not more than that. Hulk can always easily beat Abomination. Abomination is an okay villain, nothing more than that, nothing less. There are in my opinion much worse villains in the MCU. Thaddeus Ross is also Okay. For some reason I never start liking his character that much, while his actor is great and he perfectly suits the role. Probably the thing I like most about this movie, Yes I know this sounds a bit weird, is Tony Stark appearing in the end scene. It is the start of the MCU and it feels like the first connection between the Avengers.

- & +

  • - Edward Norton
  • - Betty Ross
  • - Too predictable
  • - By far most useless MCU movie ever made
  • - Samuel Sterns AKA Mr. Blue
  • + End credit scene with Tony Stark

19: Iron Man 3 2/10

Why don’t I like this movie?

Iron Man 3

After one of the best MCU movies The Avengers, we get the very weak movie Iron Man 3. I never expected to not put this movie last in my MCU top, but then I found out that The Incredible Hulk is in the MCU. This is not because that Iron Man 3 is less useless than The Incredible Hulk. There are some things in this movie and I am seriously doubting why they did these things in the movie. To start with the last scene before the credits. Tony Stark throws his Arc reactor in the sea, and everything points out to that he stops with being Iron Man. But no, in Avengers: Age of Ultron, they just totally ignored this movie. I think I will never understand in my life why they did this. And I am not finished yet. Second, Why did they do that the Mandarin is an actor? How idiotic can you be to screw up the biggest Iron Man villain and not even giving him a movie. And then we have Aldrich Killain. Remember that I told you that I said that Abomination isn’t by far the worst MCU Villain? That is Aldrich Killian. There is not even one thing I like about it. Breathing Fire! Wow that is really cool! No it isn’t Shane Black! How on earth could you think of something like that! And then he also says: “I am the real mandarin?” Wait, What? Aldrich Killain the Mandarin. That is probably the next thing about this movie I will never understand in my life. And I haven’t even told the thing I hate the most about this movie. Pepper Potts….……………………. She is even more annoying in this movie than the first two Iron Man movies combined! I also still can’t believe she survived when she fell in the fire. This is ridiculously impossible. Nobody can survive when you fall in fire, except when you have superpowers, which she clearly hasn’t! I also heard some people saying they hope she will become Iron Woman. Come on people, I don’t want to see her ever again in a main role in a movie. Her role In Avengers: Infinity War was already long enough and she was annoying enough. I am still hoping she will get killed of in a future film, but I have my doubts about that. I have never seen anything I like in her character and it is in my opinion the worst MCU Character! I think I haven’t finished yet. The role of Maya Hansen was so ridiculously useless. All the scenes with the president were so dumb. I didn’t like Iron Patriot. That was also useless, since you never saw him again. And last but certainly not least: Is there anybody that likes that child in this movie? He is so annoying for me and I even want to throw him out of the movie every time I see him. I also heard he will also appear Avengers 4……………………………… The first thing I thought after I read that is that there is finally something in this movie that isn’t just totally forgotten. But for god sake Marvel! Don’t let him replace Robert Downey’s Jr. Role! I think I can write a whole book about this movie. There are luckily only some reason why this isn’t the worst MCU movie to date.

What do I like about this movie?

Actually there isn’t really anything in this movie I like. The only thing which makes it not the worst MCU movie is Tony Stark/Iron Man. He is my favourite Avenger and it feels wrong for me to place this as the worst MCU movie. But I certainly can’t place it higher as this.

-&+

  • - Pepper Potts!
  • - Aldrich Killian!
  • - That annoying Child!
  • - Mandarin being screwed up
  • - Lost of things in this movie being forgotten
  • - R.I.P. Dummy ☹
  • + Tony Stark/Iron Man

18: Black Panther 3/10

Black Panther Movie Poster

Ok probably a lot of people are not going to agree with this but it is my opinion! Your opinion could be much different and please also don’t say that you aren’t agreed with this place!

Why don’t I like this movie?

There are pretty good MCU movies in this phase. Guardians 2, Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War. But that doesn’t mean they are all good in that year. What about Black Panther? The interesting hero that already made his debut in Captain America: Civil War. He was already one of my favourite heroes after the movie came out. I immediately wanted to see this movie after Civil War and couldn’t wait for it. But then I saw it in the cinema almost two years later. I immediately knew when I walked out of the Cinema: This is one of the worst MCU movies I have ever seen. I will start with the beginning. It starts with a flashback. This is already one of the things the movie does wrong. This flashback immediately puts viewers (like me) off. At first I had totally no idea who all the characters were in the flashback and it was all really weird for me. After it the movie begins (for me). We see T”Challa (Yes one of my favourite Avengers) for the first time. I immediately knew when I saw him that he was a lot different then in Captain America: Civil War. To start with, there wasn’t really anything interesting about him anymore. Movies like Doctor Strange and Ant-Man had the advantage to introduce a character and keep everything as a secret. For Black Panther everything was already very boring and clear already. The first action scene on the road in the forest is already a good example. Everybody knows that the bullets doesn’t have effect on him, so why do the hunters still fire on him? Don’t they know him after Captain America: Civil War? Come on he is a king and they haven’t seen him once? This is totally impossible and already start becoming mad seeing this. To come back at the story, we are introduced to Wakanda. It looked very interesting for me in the Captain America: Civil War Post-Credit Scene. But certainly it wasn’t. Wakanda totally disappointed for me and it was only a city in Africa. I expected much more from it. After the introduction, of course T”Challa becomes the king of Wakanda (Who didn’t expect that?). He easily wins and gets the crown. After it we see a scene with, oh yeah that dude we already saw in Avengers: Infinity War, Ulyses Klaue (No idea if I write his name correctly) and Who the hell is that? They are stealing in a museum. This scene was pretty interesting but didn’t give me a smile on my face. After it some boring scenes follow. Be honest, I can’t remember much of it. The next scene was in a casino (???) and there we see Everett Ross (Bilbo Baggins). His character was totally not interesting in the movie and was totally unnecessary. I still don’t really understand why he was in the movie? Also in the scene we see Klaue and that another dude. Some scenes later suddenly that other dude kills Klaue. I totally didn’t see this coming. This also looked so totally untrue. How can a professional criminal be killed by a random dude. Later it becomes clear he is the nephew of Black Panther and also wants the throne. In my opinion, he is the most overrated MCU villain of all time. Everybody is saying he is one of the best MCU villains while I clearly think he isn’t. To be honest, I think he is the worst MCU after Aldrich Killian. I even think Malekith was more interesting. Of course he wants to fight against T”Challa. Okay I can’t understand why he still can fight, since he was far too late and T”Challa is already king, but never mind about that. To all our surprises he wins and kills off T”Challa. But then later he is sill alive? So that means that without his suit he can also survive that big fall. Come on director of this movie, we have seen this already a lot of other times. This is totally impossible that he survived. And after that one of the least interesting fights of all times starts. Black Panther versus Killmonger. Of course he kills him now. The other parts of the fight are also really boring. And that is it. There is really nothing in this movie that is great. It is all so basic and nothing really gets my attention. Also the other characters in this movie (Shuri, Nakia and Michonne) are really boring and I never got really interested when they were on screen. Black Panther, on the other hand, was also so boring. So why does everybody like this movie? Oh wait (almost) everybody in this movie is black! Come on this cant’t be true! Has nobody seen Luke Cage? It was released before Black Panther and it also has almost a fully black cast. I really can’t understand that because all characters are black that also the movie is a lot better. In conclusion: This is the most boring MCU Movie until now, with one of the worst villains and there isn’t any interesting character in the movie!

What do you like about this movie?

Nothing.

+ & -

  • -Far too overrated villain
  • -All characters are boring
  • -Boring storyline
  • -Klaue’s death
  • -One of the worst end battles
  • -Movie is overall by far too overrated!
  • -It brings nothing new!
  • -Bucky Barnes’ appearances
  • - Wakanda disappointment

17: Spider-Man: Homecoming 5/10

Spider-Man Homecoming poster

Why don’t I like this movie?

The first movie of Spider-Man AKA Peter Parker. To start with: Did we really need a new Spider-Man movie? This is already the sixth Spider-Man movie in 15 years! But if we don’t complain about that and look to the movie I think this is also one of the worst movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It already starts with the first scene of the movie. This is probably the weirdest beginning of any movie in this cinematic universe. It has the same failure of Black Panther but even more worse. They could have better deleted that scene since it also didn’t really made a change to the story. Vulture isn’t really a very bad villain, but he isn’t that interesting either. And what don’t I like about the movie either? The two girls in the movie are two very unnecessary characters. But the worse thing is that is too coincidence that Liz is the daughter of Vulture. No Peter hasn’t a crush on a normal girl, it had to be the daughter of Vulture! And to continue: That fat friend of Spider-Man is always too stupid, which is often really annoying and one of the worst things in the movie is probably the end credit scene. This is by far the most stupid scene after the credits of all time. How can Marvel do this to their fans? And last but definitely not least, the worst thing in the movie is probably the role of Pepper Potts. In all movies after Iron Man 3 she broke up with Tony Stark and now suddenly they are back with each other. Come on Marvel, this can’t be true! This is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen!

What do I like about this movie?

Probably the thing I like most is Iron Man’s appearance. I know his role is short but he has some great scenes. Also the kid that bullies Peter is really funny for me. I laugh about him a lot. Especially the part where he says: “When I say Penis, you say Parker!” Also am I probably the only one that likes the new suit of Spider-Man. Shocker is also great for me, although you don’t see him that much. The scene in Washington D.C. is also great! Also I like the scenes with references to other movies.

+ & -

  • -Pepper Potts
  • -Captain America end scene
  • -Beginning Scene
  • -Liz being the daughter of Vulture
  • +Iron Man
  • +Flash Thompson
  • +Washington D.C. Scene
  • +Shocker

16: Thor: The Dark World 6/10

Thor-2-the-dark-world-poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

The second movie of phase 2 in my top. Thor: The Dark World Is my least favourite movie of Phase 2 after Iron Man 3. It has some weak points but it is the first movie I like more. I know this movie is pretty bad but it has some good moments that makes it the first movie that satisfies of the MCU in my top, but first we will discuss the weak parts. Malekith is a pretty uninteresting villain. Still I like him more than Killmonger and Aldrich Killian. He hasn’t really lots of backstory. That’s a pity, because it could have been a lot better, since they deleted lots of those scenes. One of the things I don’t like about this movie is Darcy and her boyfriend. They are pretty annoying and useless. Also don’t I like that Loki clearly dies but later he is suddenly back alive. This isn’t possible. I also don’t understand why he transforms to Captain America? Was this really needed in the movie? Also is it pretty unrealistic that Jane Foster gets the Infinity Stone. Why Jane Foster? It could have easily been another character. She is also pretty annoying since she has to be rescued all the time and she never dies. Also the scene with Erik Selvig running naked is terrible, I don’t know why that is in the movie. Also the end battle is pretty boring and the death of Malekith is pretty weird. These are my points why I don’t like the movie, I know it aren’t much, that’s why it has a 6.

What do I like about this movie?

First of all I really like the black hole that goes to the planet of Malekith. It is pretty funny. Also the henchmen of Malekith is really funny. It is sad when he dies. He looks like an orc which is really cool. Also a pretty good and emotional scene is when Thor’s mother dies. She wasn’t that famous but still it has a good impact in the movie. I also like Sif and the Warriors Three.

+ & -

  • - Darcy and her boyfriend
  • - Loki unrealistic survive
  • - Malekith having less backstory
  • - Jane Foster
  • - Endscene
  • + Algrim
  • + Death scene of Thor’s mother
  • + Sif and the Warriors Three
  • + Cool Black Hole

15: Iron Man 6,5/10

Ironmanposter

What don’t I like about this movie?

Yet another movie of my favourite superhero. It is probably another shocker. You probably think why do you put Iron Man before Iron Man 2? Well I have several reasons for it. First I will tell what I don’t like about this movie. First of all, it is one of the least interesting movies of the MCU. While watching this movie it feels like it is all the beginning. Also another thing I don’t like is that War Machine has another actor. It feels a little weird and it is a total different character for me. Also can’t I deny again that Pepper Potts is already very annoying in this movie. Luckily her role isn’t as big in this movie as in Iron Man 3. For the rest this movie Is pretty great and I haven’t much things to say that I don’t like.

What do I like about this movie?

To start with, I really like the beginning with the cave scenes. This is probably something Marvel never did again in another movie. The whole setting in Afghanistan is great. How Iron Man comes back to New York is maybe a bit unrealistic but I like it. Back in New York it becomes a bit less interesting. But the movie becomes interesting later again. Iron Monger is a really great villain, he is performed almost perfect by Jeff Bridges. He brings the movie to a higher level. Christine Everhart plays a great Recurring role. I still don’t understand why she didn’t appear in movies after Iron Man 2. I am still sad that Yinsen died in the beginning. He should have known how famous Tony Stark has become. At last I want to give a shout out to Dummy. He is so great!

So overall, this is a pretty great movie, only reasons why I can’t place it higher is that I just don’t like it more than other movies and the movie is sometime a bit under interesting.

- & +

  • -Movie sometimes feeling less interesting and feels like beginning
  • -Pepper Potts
  • -Sometimes a bit boring
  • -other actor appearing as War Machine
  • -R.I.P. Yinsen
  • +Afghanistan scenes
  • +Obadiah Stane/Iron Monger
  • +Dummy

14: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 7/10

Guardians of the Galaxy poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

Probably another shocker. I think this movie is pretty overrated, although I still like it. First I want to say it that I like Guardians 2 a lot more than this movie. I have several reasons for it. First of all I hate the performance of Ronan. Probably also one of the weakest villains of the MCU. He hasn’t really much backstory for his actions and only does his actions because he has to do it from Thanos. But still isn’t that the worst thing. He is really weak and his death is probably one of the worst things of the whole movie. Star-Lord dancing before him and he becomes derived because of it? Come on serious? This can’t be true! This joke is really misplaced. The stories is sometimes a bit lacking, as it feels like the script writers didn’t know what to do. As an example when Drax attacks Ronan, I know he is angry, but he probably knows himself that it isn’t a good idea. These are pretty the only things I don’t like about this movie.

What do I like about this movie?

First of all the fight sequences behind in the Guardians are great. The prison scene is great though. Some jokes in the movie are really great. This is the first movie where Thanos has a big role, they are teasing him, which is great. The final fight is okay, nothing more than that. I also like Nebula and Yondu. But probably my favorite thing in the movie is Howard the ducks’ appearance. I laugh very much about this. The Guardians as team is a great thing to watch too, so that’s why this movie is higher than other movies.

- & +

  • - Ronan the Accuser
  • - Ronan the Acusser’s death
  • - Lacking story
  • + Thanos
  • + Howard the Duck
  • + Nebula
  • + Yondu

13: Captain America: The First Avenger 7/10

Captain America The First Avenger Poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

Another movie of Phase 1. Although I really like this movie I can’t place it higher. But first talk about the bad things, which aren’t much. I don’t really like that doctor Abraham Erskine dies do quickly. I really liked him, and his role was way too short. Also is it way too impossible that Bucky Barnes survives that way down there. He should have died in that fall, but no the writers are in love with him and he always has to survive. Also is it this movie already clear that Captain America is in love with him. These are I think the only things that I don’t like about the movie.

What do I like about this movie?

First of all is it really great that this movie is totally different than all the other movies in the MCU. It is the only movie in war and in another age. The whole setting in World War 2 is incredible. Red Skull is probably one of my favourite villains of the whole MCU. His portrayal is perfect and I don’t have anything worst against him. Arnim Zola, his henchmen, is also funny for me. I also like Tommy Lee Jones in this movie. Same for Abraham Erskine. Hydra is very interesting for me. I hoped to see them once again in another movie. The end battle is also great for me. So in conclusion, I like this movie, but I can’t place it higher since I like other movies more.

+ & -

  • -Abraham Erskine’s death
  • -Writers being in love with Bucky Barnes
  • +Red Skull
  • +World War II setting
  • +Hydra
  • +End Battle

12: Thor 7/10

Thor Poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

And again another movie of Phase 1. This movie is much better than the second Thor movie, but the third is best. To start with, one thing which is too much coincidence is that Thor can come on any place on earth and he comes at Jane Foster, Erik Selvig and Darcy Lewis. I mean really on the place they were riding. How was this possible? This is impossible for me. Another thing which I don’t like is that Odin is so long in the Odin Sleep. Was this really necessary? Loki is of course the badguy again, which I don’t really like either. I like him more as a good guy. Darcy is again annoying just like Thor: The Dark World. Laufey is a pretty forgettable villain. His death is the worst thing for me about him. But still he is a better villain than Malekith and Killmonger. And don’t think I will mention that terrible villain of Iron Man 3. Also was it really necessary that Hawkeye appeared in this movie? Just keep him out of the movie or give him a bigger role. I think nobody knew at first: Wow that is Hawkeye!

What do I like about this movie?

To start with, Jane Foster is less annoying in this movie and Erik Selvig is also a more interesting character. That stupid intern of Thor: The Dark World luckily doesn’t appear here, which is one thing that is better than that movie. Second, I really like Jotunheim, all scenes there are great. Sif and the Warriors Three are just like the sequel great characters. The Destroyer is also great for me, his appearance was way too short, but still. Also one of the things I really like about this movie is the humour. The jokes are great and I can really laugh about it. Especially the one with Thor walking inside and asks: “Give me a horse” Also one of my favourite scenes of the whole MCU is the scene that Odin starts screaming against Thor and Thor says: “You are an old man and a foul” You can just feel the tears everyone has and how it has a big impact to the relation between Thor and Odin. For the rest, it is a pretty above average movie.

+ & -

  • -Too coincidence Thor coming in front of car.
  • -Darcy Lewis
  • -Odinsleep
  • -Laufey’s death
  • -Hawkeye
  • +Jotunheim
  • +Sif and the Warriors Three
  • +The Destroyer
  • +Humour
  • +Scene against Thor and Odin

11: Captain America: Civil War 7,5/10

Captain America Civil War Poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

We are almost in the top 10. Civil War is probably a movie which is in everybody’s top 10, but for me it isn’t. This is probably another shocker. What SwitzerlandDormammu? You think Civil War is worse than Iron Man 2 and Ant-Man? Yes I do. Actually I do like the story of this movie more, but we will talk about that later. This was probably my most excited movie (I think even more than Avengers: Infinity War) but it disappointed me on some things. Let’s start with the beginning. The movie starts with a flashback. We see Winter Soldier. Allright this scene was needed to get information about him. After it a great scene starts. The fight in Lagos. It is all so great but then suddenly Crossbones dies? Wait What? I really don’t (I probably will never) understand why they killed him off so quick. After we lost a great character we see the return of Thaddeus Ross. I was happy to see him back, since he was one of the only things Incredible Hulk did right. He looks different, but I find it okay. But after that it starts to become more complicated. Bucky Barnes is in Romania but then later he is suddenly in Berlin. How is this possible? I didn’t know he can teleport. This is so ridiculously wrong that I can even laugh about it. But wait later Ross says that they couldn’t eliminate him in Romania. But all the cars showed in the scene were German. Wtf are you doing Marvel? How couldn’t you see this big mistake! This is probably one of the worst things of the movie. But there also a lot other bad things. I don’t understand why Hawkeye is suddenly in the movie. Who asked him to help them and how does he know what is all going on? And again Captain America is too much in love with Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. That last mentioned character is probably by far the most favourite character of Anthony and Joe Russ. I really don’t understand why the story always have to be about him. There is literally not anything I find interested about it. Just a stupid friend of Captain America. He looks so in love with him that I don’t understand why Captain America even kisses with Sharon Carter. To talk about that character, What has she to do in this movie? I totally don’t understand her role, and probably when she wasn’t in the movie it wouldn’t have made any difference. She didn’t appear in Infinity War and probably also won’t in Avengers 4. And since Captain America will most like be killed off in Avengers 4 or retires, since Chris Evans said he wanted to stop with the MCU, we will probably never see her again. Really great MCU, so that means I will never get an answer on my question what her role is in the MCU. Same for Everett Ross. Another unnecessary character, same as his role in Black Panther. Next thing I don’t understand is how Hawkeye could bring Ant-Man from San Francisco to Leipzig? And how did he even find him and kidnap him. Another question I will probably never get an answer to. After Ant-Man is first seen in the movie (What actually pretty late is) the Airport scene begins. A scene which I was probably excited for the most. Also I forgot to say that Spider-Man got introduced first. I liked him in this movie more than in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Probably one of my most hated things of this fight is that it is far too clear that the directors liked Captain America’s team much more than Iron Man’s team. I never saw Iron Man’s team dominating in the fight and you see much more interaction scenes between Captain America’s team. And the second most hated thing of me: Where the hell are Black Widow and Vision constantly in the fight? They aren’t there! The directors probably don’t like Black Widow and Vision is probably never there since he can easily defeat everybody of Captain America’s team, but not this fight scene is so ridiculous that they want Captain America’s team to win. Also another thing which is very unrealistic is that Vision hits War Machine with his laser. That is already ridiculous enough, but how on earth can War Machine survive that high fall? They should have just killed him off. They are only making the movie worse since also nobody dies. And after the airport fight the movie just collapses. The last fight scene was very disappointing for me. I already knew Captain America and Winter Soldier would win against Iron Man since they are in love with them. Also I knew they wouldn’t kill off one of these three characters. And last, I forgot to say that I actually really hated all scenes with Helmut Zemo, since they all are pretty unnecessary. So actually wasn’t this movie by far not a great as excited I was for it. This movie disappointed me a lot and I am even thinking of placing it lower, but that probably wouldn’t be fair to the good parts of this movie.

What do I like about this movie?

First of all I really love the two teams. Since almost all my favourite heroes (except Ant-Man) are on Team Iron Man. So it was easy for me to pick a team. A second great thing which I really didn’t see coming was that Iron Man’s parents were killed by Winter Soldier. This was a big shocker for me. And without all things worse about the Airport Scene it is one of my favourite scenes of the whole MCU. Also the Lagos fight scene is great and I like the Sokovia Accords storyline. The scenes in Berlin are also great. So this movie has a lot of great scenes. And I forgot to tell you my favourite thing in the movie. I was so happy when I saw this in the movie: Iron Man and Pepper Potts breaking up. But to my disappointment this all was ruined in the very stupid movie Spider-Man: Homecoming. Also do I think Spider-Man and Black Panther are much more interesting in this movie than in their solo movies. Their introductions here are great! So in conclusion: This movie has some of the worst weaknesses of the whole MCU but it also has some of the greatest scenes of the MCU. That’s why I placed it in the middle of the top. But this movie could have been easily in the Top 5. All together I think this is by far the worst movie of Anthony and Joe Russo.

+ & -

  • -Crossbones’ death
  • -Very big mistake with Bucharest and Berlin
  • -Captain America and Winter Soldier again being the favourite character of the movie
  • -Sharon Carter and Everett Ross being very useless characters
  • -Hawkeye
  • -Black Widow and Vision being invisible at Airport fight scene
  • -Captain America’s team clearly being favourite team of Anthony and Joe Russo
  • -Not any character getting killed off
  • -War Machine unrealistic surviving
  • -Vision unrealistic hitting War Machine
  • -Dissapointing End fight scene
  • -Scenes with Helmut Zemo
  • -Movie overall being very dissapointing
  • +Two teams
  • +Iron Man and Pepper Potts breaking up
  • +Great fight scenes
  • +Sokovia Accords
  • +Introductions of Spider-Man and Black Panther

10: Iron Man 2 7,5/10

Iron Man 2 Poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

Finally we reached the top half of this top. We start immediately with a shocker. This movie is almost on all tops at the bottom. I am probably the only one who thinks this is the best Phase 1 movie after The Avengers and the best Iron Man Movie. This is the Iron Man movie I wanted, not weak Iron Man and that ridiculously bad movie Iron Man 3. Well what don’t I like about this movie? You can probably already gues one thing: Pepper Potts. I could say again what I all don’t like about her, but you have probably read it already enough. Another thing I don’t like in this movie is that they see Iron Man needs help, but they all decide to not help him. Even Happy Hogan and his best friend War Machine don’t help him. To talk about War Machine, the most unnecessary scenes of this whole movie are probably with War Machine and the Air Force. I really hate theses scenes and I always want to skip them when I see them. Another thing I don’t really like is the ending. It feels a bit wrong and suddenly everybody likes Iron Man again, after a full movie of everybody hating him. Also has Black Widow already disappeared here? Where the hell is she? Other users would probably make this section three pages, but you know what? I stop now.

What do I like about this movie?

Well, now it is going to be difficult for me. I have to defend a movie which almost everybody hates. Let me all make it clear to start with the beginning, where Iron Man finds out he is sick. He gives a show but he probably already knows it. This scene is great for me, since he jumps out of a plane and lands on a stage, which looks incredible. After it he goes to D.C. and one of Marvel’s best performed villains is introduced. Sam Rockwell is perfect in his role and there probably isn’t even another person in this world, which can portray him better than him. Talking about the other villain: Whiplash. He is great for me too and they make the movie even better. The scene in Monaco follows, which is probably also still one of my favourite scenes of the whole MCU. I forgot to tell that still one of my most favourite MCU heroes is introduced in this movie: Black Widow. She is so great in this movie especially the Last fight scene. Also she looks the best in this movie for me in the whole MCU. I also think Iron Man makes a very good character progress in this movie through. He goes from an arrogant playboy to a person which has nobody in his life anymore. He loses all his friends and all his things. Everybody hates him and this makes a huge chance in his life. He has a lot of character development which I like very much. Also how he tries to get back in his life is great and everybody pushes him away. Even his friends and Pepper Potts (I doubt to say what she is in this movie) won't help him. Also is this the first movie which sets up the big MCU as it is today. Nick Fury is introduced in this movie (I wouldn’t count that first scene in Iron Man) and first is talked about the Avengers Initiative. This makes it great and it gives you a feeling you want more. For me it isn’t any differences. Also the last fight Scene is great for me with all the Hammer Drones. Also did I already mentioned that I really like the relationship with Whiplash and his bird. He constantly asking for his bird is really funny for me. Actually do I like a lot of the scenes between Whiplash and Justin Hammer. This is I think all I have to say about this movie. I really like this movie but I can’t place it higher since there are other movies which are better and I like more. I hope I have given enough reasons why I like this movie and you won’t complain about this ranking in the comments.

9: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 8/10

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

Another sequel. For me sequels are often better than the first movie, since the first movie is always an introduction while in the sequel you can explore further and you have more time for the story. For Guardians of the Galaxy 2 it isn’t an exception for me. We have now started with my most favourite MCU movies. These 9 movies are all pretty perfect, so I don’t have much to say which I don’t like. I wasn’t really excited for this movie, but when I saw it in cinema, I was positive surprised. So talk about the bad things, there is actually nothing I can say which I don’t like. Only maybe the movie is sometimes a bit slow. But this isn’t a big issue for me and I don’t want to pay a lot attention to it.

What do I like about this movie?

Probably a lot of you are surprised that I placed Vol. 2 much higher than Vol. 1, I will try to explain why I do think that. To start with the beginning. The first fight scene against that monster is a great beginning. You are fast in the movie and it pays already attention to you. Another things which is interesting for me is that the Guardians team is a lot more interesting in this movie than in the first movie. It all feels better and the actors have all grown in their roles. Yondu (after he was pretty invisible in first movie) is really great in this movie with his arrow and he becomes an audience favourite. I will continue with this later. We also meet Ayesha, a new villain. She isn’t really interesting in this movie, but we also meet Peter Quill’s father, Ego. First of all do I think that he is a lot better than Ronan. He is much more interesting and he is portrayed much better than the villain of Vol. 1. He has more screen time and he looks more evil. He killed all inhabitants of Ego’s planet and all brothers and sister of Peter. After finding this out a great end fight starts. It is a lot more interesting than Vol. 1’s end fight for me. That is probably something a lot of people aren’t agreed with it. Ronan is a villain which is evil for everything, but Ego stays the father of Peter. After a long of emotional fight he is killed of after the planet’s heart exploded. Then Yondu helps Star-Lord back in the air and then probably one of the best and most saddest scenes of the whole MCU is on screen. There is only one rescue thing and Yondu gives it to Quill, sacrificing himself. This is very sad, since he became an audience favourite. So I also want to say R.I.P. Yondu. We will never forget you. After the funeral another miracle things starts. Instead of 2 Credit Scenes, this movies has 5 credit scenes. This is great since you know the movies hasn’t ended yet when the credits start. And not one of these credit scenes is pretty forgettable. They all have something. We haven’t discussed some new characters. Mantis is an okay character, she probably will never be one of my favourite characters, but I don’t hate her. Sylvester Stallone’s character has less screen time and is pretty unnecessary. Nebula is also back in this movie and finally she starts to become a less evil. I like her better as a hero and that’s why I do like her better in this movie. Her story is a really sad one (just like Ghost in Ant-Man and the Wasp) and that’s why I have respect for her. I also like Rocket, Drax and Star-Lord more in this movie. Gamora is a lot in bad mood in this movie and that’s something I don’t really like. Groot’s new appearance is funny and I do like the change. I can laugh about him. Also I have to mention the appearance of Howard the Duck is again funny in this movie. I want to see more of him! Taserface is probably one of the most funniest characters of all time, and Rocket making these jokes is even more funny. It is sad he died, I wanted to see more of him. Also am I interested in the new team former in one of the Credit Scenes and I am also excited to see Adam Warlock in the third movie. I am not really known with him but I want to find him out. That’s actually something I have with a lot Marvel characters, since I don’t read Marvel Comics. I am also not that big fan of that. I want to end this long paragraph with saying that I feel really sorry for James Gunn. It isn’t really fair that he got fired for something he said for almost 10 years ago. He made two good movies and he is one of my favourite directors of the MCU. I hope he will remain director, but I doubt about it. He has already made his apologies and I think Disney should forget things that happened in the past. And so why did they hire him for the first two movies? These messages were send before that? This is a big question mark for me, but I have to live with it and respect it. And to finish this movie, This is one of my favourite movies of the MCU, but I like others a little bit more that‘s why it stay on the 9th spot of my list.

- & +

  • - Gamora being in bad mood in the whole movie
  • + Yondu (and his death ;()

8: Ant-Man 8/10

Ant-Man Poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

I never expected to put this movie this high on my list. But I saw it the day before I went to Ant-Man and the Wasp and I have to say that it was a lot better than I expected. Ant-Man is also one of my favourite Avengers and his trilogy (I know third movie hasn’t released yet) is already becoming one of my favourite trilogies of the MCU. But we will talk about the sequel later, first Ant-Man. What can I say bad about this movie? I guess nothing, if I would have created this movie, I wouldn’t have changed anything.

What do I like about this movie?

I will start again with the beginning. It starts with a flashback. But instead of Black Panther and Spider-Man: Homecoming (whose flashbacks failed terribly) this is a good introduction to the movie. We already know two of the four characters (Peggy Carter and Howard Stark). After the flashback we are introduced to the main character of the movie: Scott Lang. He releases from prison and pretty funny scenes are afterwards. I mean the scene where Scott Lang got fired and the scenes with Luis. Luis is a very great and funny character. We live in the life of Scott Lang and he has a pretty bad life. First he gets fired and after he hears that he can’t see his daughter for longer than 1 year. These things make him decide to go stealing again. Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym has set up that he would steal his Ant-Man suit. This is pretty interesting since the viewers don’t expect it. Then he also meets with his daughter, Hope van Dyne, the role of Evangeline Lily. She is pretty interesting in this movie, because you think she is on the side of the villain, Darren Cross, but actually she is on the side of her father. Scott Lang becomes the Ant-Man and this gives some pretty great scenes, where he tries to talk with Ants. This is probably the best part of a movie in the MCU where the hero tries to become the superhero. He also gets a band with one of the ants, which he calls Anthony. It is all made really great, for example where Scott has to think of his daughter and afterwards he becomes better and better, that you want to see more. They set up a plan to steal the suit of Darren Cross. It has to be quick since they don’t much time. This makes the movie a lot more exciting. But actually Darren Cross knows already about everything and he goes away with the suit. Actually he wanted to sell it to Hydra, which makes a good link to other movies like Captain America: The Winter Soldier. How they make up the plan is also done great. They also get help from Luis, Kurt and Dave, the friends of Ant-Man. After a long fight between Darren and Scott, they got into the house of Lang’s daughter. During the fight, Anthony gets killed, which makes Scott angry, which makes it better for the movie, since before he didn’t really hate Cross. The scene in the house of Lang’s daughter is probably the best scene in the whole movie. We see a fight like we have never seen before which makes it really great. Small, and then big and then small again. This is probably also one of my favourite fight scenes of the whole MCU. They fight on the train and the playing field of Cassie. A lot of thing become big like one of the Ants and the first carriage Thomas. This is really funny and I laugh a lot about it. The big ant is also really great when he attacks Paxton, Scott’s rival. After the fight, Scott goes subatomic to make an end off Cross. I still don’t really understand what happens to Cross, goes he subatomic too or does he die? If you know you can say it in the comments. But afterwards Scott goes to the quantum realm and this is really interesting. Scott has luck that he can get out of the realm and returns back to his daughter. After it the movie ends and we get two very useful Credit scenes. In the first one we are introduced to the Wasp suit, which Hope gets from her father. This makes us excited for the sequel, which will be later on this top. The second one is for the next movie Captain America: Civil War. This is already a scene in that movie, where we see Cap, Bucky and Falcon. The last mention we already saw in this movie getting beaten up by Ant-Man. This was a great scene and we already see the first connection between Ant-Man and the rest of the MCU. So to end, I think Ant-Man is a great addition to the MCU and I am really excited to see him help the Avengers in Avengers 4. This movie is in my opinion for everybody a must watch, so I recommend you to watch it, also because you don’t have to see a boring first movie before, since this is the first movie and it is already great.

+ & -

  • + End Fight (Something we have never seen before)
  • + Hope van Dyne being pretty interesting
  • + Connection to the other parts of MCU
  • + Being a total different movie than rest of MCU
  • + Luis
  • + Great Credit Scenes
  • + Big ant XD
  • + Big train Thomas
  • + Darren Cross/Yellowjacket being one of the greatest villains of MCU

7: The Avengers 8/10

The Avengers Poster

What don’t I like about this movie?

The last and best movie of phase 1. The movie where everybody was excited for (except me, since I wasn’t fan of MCU on that time). This was also the first movie of the MCU I saw and where I became a fan of Marvel. This is most of the times one of the favourite movies of a lot people. You are probably surprised why I put The Avengers before Avengers: Age of Ultron, since a lot of people will probably be disagreed with this. Although this movie is one of my most favourite MCU movies and it has some of the best fight scenes of the whole cinematic universe, I can’t place it higher for some reasons. We will talk about that first. Probably my biggest reason for not putting this is in the top 5 is that the movies is sometimes pretty slow and lengthy. I understand that all they should be introduced but the scenes on the helicarrier were too long. Most in these scenes there were references to other movies. For people that didn’t see this other movies it will become even more lengthy. My second reason is that this movie feels like the beginning and that is something I don’t like either. We only have 6 heroes while you look to Infinity War, we now have 40 heroes. Also isn’t Loki the best villain for me and I like him more as a good guy. My fourth reason is that I like the movies after this more and so there isn’t for me a reason to place it lower or higher. This place feels fine for me.

What do I like about this movie?

I will start at the beginning of the movie. Loki comes to earth after he is resurrected by Thanos. He steals the Tesseract (The first Infinity Stone that was introduced in Captain America: The first Avenger) and makes Hawkeye and Erik Selvig his puppets. This is a pretty surprising beginning and I like it. So Nick Fury has to call the Avengers to stop him. As what I already said this introduction earns too long and we will continue to the first fight scene in Stuttgart. This scene is great. Fight with Thor, Iron Man and Captain America is great too. After that the movie is a big lengthy again. But after Hawkeye and other henchmen come to the Helicarrier, the movie starts to become interesting. We get great fight scenes (Fight with Hulk and Thor and fight with Hawkeye and Black Widow). And at the end we get one of the best scenes of the MCU: The New York fight. I never get bored by watching this scene and it is great. The scene with Hulk punching Loki is probably one of the best scenes of whole movie. Iron Man grabs a nuke and throws it in the wormhole. I don’t understand why Captain America wants to close the wormhole when still Tony is inside. This is very stupid for me and probably a thing why I don’t like Captain America. Hawkeye looks a bit stupid with his arrows in this scene. I stay with my opinion that I don’t see him as an Avengers. He always looks like an ally, but not Avenger. This is first movie where Black Widow looks like a superhero and Avenger (She wasn’t really one in Iron Man 2, nevertheless I liked her in that movie). Another great thing of the movie are the Credit scenes. In the first one we get introduced to the biggest bad guy of the whole MCU. This was really great first time I saw it, although I didn’t know Thanos back then. The second one is also great and really funny. So this movie is great, but it has some things that I don’t like and that’s why it isn’t in the top 5.

- & +

  • - Movie being too lengthy and slow (especially for people who didn’t see other movies)
  • - Movie feels pretty like beginning
  • - Loki isn’t best villain
  • - Hawkeye feeling as ally not Avenger
  • - Captain America closing the wormhole with Iron Man inside ☹
  • + Great fight scenes
  • + Credit Scenes
  • + Scene Hulk punching Loki

6: Doctor Strange 8,5/10

Doctor Strange Poster

What don’t I like about his movie?

Another movie that hasn’t the reached the top 5 is Doctor Strange. My favourite introduction movie of an Avenger. It hurts me to not put the movie with my favourite villain of the whole MCU in the top 5. Well I have my reason for it. My biggest reason is that I was very disappointed with Dormammu’s appearance. I want him to look like the comics, not how he looks like now. But if you are so disappointing why putting this movie on the sixth spot? Yes I have thought of this and I was thinking that he might get another appearance in Doctor Strange 2. That’s the reason I don’t want this movie to punish for it. But if Doctor Strange 2 won’t give him another appearance, I will be very disappointed again and I may put this movie lower on the list. And are their another things which you don’t like? Yes Kaecilius’ death is terrible for me. I don’t understand why they killed him off this way. Third, Christine Palmer has a very unnecessary and small role. They better give her a better role in sequel. Maybe she could become the night nurse? Or another idea, make her a sorcerer too, that would be great! It is also weird for me that Karl Mordo is good the whole movie and on the end he suddenly becomes evil? This isn’t right for me. But probably the biggest reason why this movie is here, because for some reason the movie feels too short and I want to see more of it. But I am not going to punish this movie again for this, I just need to wait for the sequel to come.

What do I like about this movie?

I will start again with the beginning. We are introduced to Stephen Strange, a pretty arrogant nurse. I really like how he is, and it reminds me to Tony Stark. He gets an accident and his former fiancé Christine Palmer, which is also a nurse helps him to get over it. I already told you that I think she has a very unnecessary role in the movie. Although I don’t hate her character like Pepper Potts, she looks like nice and has potential. Strange is out of options and goes to Kathmandu to Kamer-Taj. This is really great for me. The Ancient One is another interesting character. I also really like Wong. He is cool and he is the only other sorcerer that doesn’t become evil (or dies). I laugh a lot about him especially when he was listening music to Beyoncé 😊. Another scene that was really funny was when Wong gives Strange the Wifi code.

So it will also be interesting what will happen in Doctor Strange 2, since they don’t have much sorceress anymore. Maybe my ideas with Christine could be true. But back to the story we see Mad Mikkelsen as the villain. I was happy to see that he would become the villain, but I already said that I was disappointed with him. The cape of Doctor Strange is really cool and can even beat him. But what I probably like most about this movie is that is so much different as all other MCU movies (Same as Ant-Man). We see another side of the MCU, which we never saw before. I like it. What is also like that I hadn’t any clue about Doctor Strange’s powers and I was surprised by it. The movie of Black Panther hadn’t this, which made it a lot worse. Another scene I like is when Kaelicius and his two henchmen attack Strange. Probable one of my favourite scenes of the movie. The Ancient One later also dies and Strange brings her to Christine. This is a funny scene. Not that ancient one dies, no I wanted to see more of her powers, but that Christine can’t believe what all happened to Strange. The final scene after it shows that the sanction of Hong Kong gets destroyed and Strange refers it with the Time Stone. I was very happy to see this Infinity Stone since I really like it. It is my favourite Infinity Stone. Dormammu attacks earth and we get a disappointing scene, which I already mentioned. I don’t like the line: “Dormammu I have come to bargain” either. I actually hate it. After it the movie ends and we get again two great Credit Scenes. First one we see Thor and get introduction to Thor: Ragnarok, since this scene is in that movie too. Second one is for Doctor Strange 2. Karl Mordo wipes out the cure for Jonathan Pangborn’s legs. He shows himself as villain, and he will probably be main villain of sequel. This is making me excited for sequel. So this is definitely one of my favourite MCU movies, and only thing I can say is that I want to see more of it.

+ & -

  • - Dormammu being disappointing
  • - movie being too short
  • - Kaecilius (and his death)
  • - Christine Palmer having a very unnecessary role
  • - Karl Mordo suddenly becoming evil without very good reasons
  • - “Dormammu I have come to bargain”
  • + Kamar Taj
  • + Wong (and scene with him listening to Beyoncé)
  • + Fight scene with Strange against Kaecilius and two henchmen
  • + Scene with Strange, Ancient One and Christine.
  • + Dormammu being in the movie
  • + Excitement for sequel
  • + Credit Scenes (Thor)

5: Ant-Man and the Wasp 8,5/10

Ant-Man and the Wasp

We are finally in the top 5. We kick of the top 5 with MCU’s latest movie: Ant-Man and the Wasp. The sequel to the number 8 on my list. First of all I will do the last 5 movies in one paragraph, since in all 5 movies there isn’t really that much I don’t like. I think this is a great addition to the MCU. I will again start with the beginning. I don’t understand really that much why we again see the flashback of Hope’s mother going in the quantum realm. I guess everybody that watches this movie has seen the first movie and knows that it is important for this movie. But anyways this is a lot better beginning than Black Panther and Spider-Man: Homecoming for example. After that we see Scott Lang again after he was absent in Avengers: Infinity War. Still there wasn’t a good reason why he was absent in that movie. He has house arrest, but isn’t this movie taking place before Avengers: Infinity War? They probably hadn’t any ideas what to do with him in Infinity War. But never mind about that since we are talking about Ant-Man and the Wasp and not Infinity War. Scott is taking time with his daughter. Their relationship is pretty good in my opinion. I have a feeling it will be important for the future. In the next scene we are introduced to Jimmy Woo. I laugh about his character. Did you know he played Kim Jong-un in another movie called the Interview XD? But I like his character in the movie. Meanwhile Scott gets flashbacks from the time he was in the quantum realm in the first movie. He decides to call Hank Pym. An Ant arrives and takes him away. He wakes up in the car of Hope. He sees her back after a long time. They also get back to Hank. They made a portal to the quantum realm to get Janet out of it. To talk about this, it is really interesting for me and I want to see more of it. Next to that, we are also introduced to more new characters. First one is Sonny Buch. A bad guy who wants to have their portal to get huge profits for it. Hope goes to him to get a part they need for the tunnel. But he and his henchmen attack her. The next thing is something we all have waited for. We finally see Wasp. This is a very great scene. Wasp is even more great than Ant-Man because she has wings and blasters, to the dislike of Scott. But this scene is even more great when a new unknown person appears. They call her the Ghost. She has a really great power. She can get through objects and steals the building with portal. To get back the portal they go to Bill Foster, played by Laurence Fishburne. Fishburne is a great actor in my opinion and I hope to see him in more MCU movies. After it Scot, Hank and Hope are retrained by the Ghost. She reveals herself to be Ava Starr, daughter of Elihas Starr, who was a partner of Hank. He was accidentally killed in an experiment. During this Ava got her powers. So I think her backstory is short enough and she has great reasons to do what she does. Foster reveals himself to be an ally of Ava and helps her. Meanwhile, Luis, Kurt and Dave are also in the movie and Sonny takes them as prisoners. This is a really funny scene. Also Scott, Hope and Hank manage to escape and after a great scene through the city of San Francisco where Buch, Ava and Bill, the police with Jimmy Woo follow them to also get the portal or Scott. In this scene we see one of the most funniest Stan Lee cameos. Sonny gets the portal and goes on a boat. Scott becomes Giant-Man again and he is even bigger than he was in Captain America: Civil War. This is a great scene again. At the end Hank goes into the Quantum realm. This is one of the most interesting scene of the whole movie and he finds his wife. Their reunion is great and they both get safe back to the normal world. Sonny gets captured by the police and Ava comes to them. But then Janet walks to her and uses her powers that she got in the quantum realm and cures her. She becomes a friend of them afterwards. So we have a very good ending and the credits are the thing the follows. Everybody watching the movie knows we get a credit scene. But nobody expected that this scene would kind of ruined the whole movie. This is true for me. I know this should have been in the movie, but I really hated this scene! After being disappointed with this scene we wait till the after credit scene. I was very happy with this scene. The big ant has survived everything and he even can play on the drums!! I know this scene is ridiculous but I laughed when I saw it. So what do I think about all the new characters. I will start with Janet Van Dyne. I have actually nothing with her character, but I am happy for Hank and Hope. I don’t really like her actress, because I think she doesn’t reprise the role that great. Her acting is the thing I don’t like. Second is Jimmy Woo. I already said that I like him and I hope to see him again. Third is Sonny Buch. He had a great reprising, but moreover he won’t be a very interesting character. Fourth one is Bill Foster. As I already said I like the actor. But I think the character is very unnecessary and I hope they will give Laurence Fishburne a better role in the future. He is good for Ava, but he is not more of that. The last but not least new character is Ava Starr aka Ghost. She is my favourite new character of this movie. Her powers are great and I think she is one of the best bad guys. That’s because finally we have a villain that is different. She is different first because she becomes good after she has what she wants. We never saw this before in a MCU movie. Also she is female and except for Hela we also haven’t seen this before. So why do I actually think this movie is better than the first movie? First we have Wasp, which is a great addition to the movie, second we have a slightly better villain. Also the movie is more connected with the MCU, which makes it more interesting. And as I already said, it has a lot more great characters and powers, like Giant-Man and buildings getting smaller and more scenes in the Quantum. All in all, I think this is one of the best MCU movies and I really want to see a third Ant-Man movie.

-& +
