  • Hey,

I know we haven't talked in a while, but I just saw Avengers Endgame and I'm curious what you thought of it.

Just in case you haven't seen it yet, I won't give anything away, but I will say that it was awesome.

I'm also sending this message to TV Ideas, so that there's a greater chance you see it.

Also, belated congrats on becoming an admin.

    • I know it's been a long while and I've been more writing privately from the public just in personal files. I've only been using Wikia for my own log of ideas for various games and projects I'm less invested in being a serious matter so my lack of activity here is because of those reasons.

I saw Endgame first showing, opening night and I walked out with no words. I can't describe how incredible and transcendent that film was. Eleven years, twenty-two movies...Just wow. Every single scene I thought couldn't be topped and then it was. I firmly belive no comic-book movie that has been or will be made in the next decade will have the impact that Endgame left.

I've been doing some private writing myself. I joined a film club and am almost finished with my first live-action short film (which will be on my YT channel). I have an ongoing project on Video Games Ideas Wiki and am considering writing an MCU Fantastic Four movie, but aside from that I rarely edit on fanon wikis.

Yeah, the movie was very impactful, especially the ending. It's not my favorite MCU movie, but it certainly exceeded my expactations.

Also, what was your favorite part?

Cool talking with you again :)

    • Avengers Assemble hands down. Best moment in the MCU save maybe the gym fight from Punisher.

That was the point that I realized just how good the movie was.

Also, what are your thoughts on Captain Marvel? I thought it was all right, though Larsen was out-acted by both Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendolsohn.

    • I actually really liked Captain Marvel. It was a good movie, and the Skrull twist was something I wasn't expecting whatsoever. I think Brie Larson gets way to much hate than she deserves though. She's criticized in this role for being a bad actress when that's just how the character is written. I mean, she's a fantastic actress- this role just has little emotion to go along with it.

Yeah, I think people go overboard on hating on her. I haven't seen her in anything else, but I could easily understand that this just wasn't the right role for her. Her performance wasn't even really bad, just average.

It was so cool seeing the Skrulls on the big screen. (Here's hoping for the Fantastic Four)

    • Just in Microsoft word, I'm working on a rough MCU Fantastic Four film with Galactus as the main antagonist with the energy surge from Thanos' snap that Rocket mentioned attracting Galactus to eat Earth and this same surge giving the Fantastic Four their powers. I'm thinking of having John Kransinski (Jim from the Office) as Mr. Fantastic but I'm not sure on the rest of the cast.

    • Maybe David Harbour as the Thing?

    • He's always the hardest to cast...Harbour would actually work pretty well.

    • I've started doing some amateur filmmaking on my own and tonight my first short film is going to be shown at my school's film festival. Wish me luck!

    • Have you ever done anything similar?

    • My school doesn't have anything like that- but if it did I'd be all over it. It's pretty cool you have that opportunity and I definitely wish you luck.

    • Thank you.

Even if your school doesn't have a film club like mine does, that shouldn't stop you from filming a movie on your phone and editing it on imovie or some other video editor.

If you ever want to collaborate on a project or something, let me know.

    • Of course

    • Well, if you're curious how it went:

For some reason there was a glitch in the computer that caused the audio to be out of sync with the images by a minute. Luckily, they were able to fix this relatively quickly.

Other than that, it went very well and it got good reception.

I'll upload it on youtube shortly if you want to see it.

    • Yeah, I'll check it out for sure. Good job man.
