Playtime 2 (stylized as Playtime II) is a 2029 computer-animated comedy film produced by Owen Laramore Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. The sequel to Playtime and the second installment in the Playtime franchise, The film was directed by Gary Marsh, and stars Chris Pratt, Jim Carrey, Forest Whitaker, Jay Ryan, Ari Graynor, Annaleigh Ashford, and Laura Ann Kesling reprising their roles while Sarah Jessica Parker, Jackie Chan, James McAvoy, Michael Sheen, and Ellie King voice the new characters.
Released on May 16, 2029, the film received mixed reviews from critics, moderately criticizing the script and derivative material while many praised the animation, John Debney's musical score, and the vocal performances of Pratt and Carrey. The film grossed $194 million on a 107 million budget, becoming the first and only film in the Playtime franchise to be a box-office bomb.
