Newville: The Adventures of the Griffins premiered in Los Angeles on November 6, 2024, and was released in the United States on November 23, to generally positive reviews from critics with praise for its visuals, storyline, lead ensemble cast, characterization, soundtrack, and action sequences, and grossed $384 million against its $100 million production budget. The film was released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 5, 2025.

On December 9, 2022, it was announced that John Ottman would compose the movie's music score, making this film the first time he composed a film's score since X-Men: Apocalypse.

Arcade Fire's "Wake Up" from their album Funeral was used in the film's teaser trailer. In the final trailer, the song "Somewhere Only We Know" by English alternative rock band Keane was used.

On October 2, 2024, it was confirmed that American singer Christina Aguilera had provided a cover for "Precious Wings" (from The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland). The track was officially released by RCA Records on October 16. On November 2, 2024, it was announced that Ethan Slater has provided a cover for "Shooting Star" (a deleted song for Hercules), which was released by Photo Finish Records on November 10. Both songs are used as the film's theme songs, being played at the film's end credits.
