Jurassic War is a 2025 American science fiction action film directed by Louis Leterrier from a screenplay by Josh Friedman. A sequel to Jurassic World Dominion
(2022), it is the sixth installment of the Jurassic Park film series. It has an ensemble cast which includes Sam Worthington, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Isabella Sermon, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, Stephen Lang, BD Wong, Mamoudou Athie, Wayne Knight, Pedro Pascal, Julianne Moore, Vanessa Lee Chester, DeWanda Wise, Jason Mamoa, Eiza González, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Sigourney Weaver, Djimon Hounsou, Omar Sy, Dwayne Johnson, Jake Johnson and Brittany Snow.
In the film, Blue the Velociraptor's daughter, Beta, is among the dinosaurs experimented on so they could be used for a military project called "Project: Berserker." The experiments as well as a virus called "DX" enhance the intelligence of Beta and the other dinosaurs, which leads them to break from the operation's facility and lead a dinosaur uprising against mankind.
During the production of Dominion, producer Frank Marshall confirmed that more films would be made. Development began in early 2023 and was announced in June 2023. Filming began in February 2024 and concluded in September 2024. The film premiered in Tokyo on December 4, 2025 and was released in the United States on December 14, 2025. The film received positive reviews from critics, who deemed it an improvement for the franchise as a whole. A sequel, The Jurassic Empire was released in July 2027.
Plot
After the events of Jurassic World Dominion, mankind and the genetically cloned dinosaurs and prehistoric animals had for now seemingly learned to co-exist, but many are used in circuses and food products. A flu-like virus called "DX" will become a pandemic if not cured.
In a Biosyn facility near Los Angeles, scientist Mark Columbus is testing a cure for DX as well as testing the virus on a Velociraptor. The dinosaur, instead of becoming sick, becomes increasingly more intelligent. The raptor breaks free and goes on a rampage, forcing Nedry II, a clone of Dennis Nedry, to shoot it dead.

The score of the film was composed by Lorne Balfe. Previous themes of the franchise by John Williams and Michael Giacchino were incorporated by Balfe. The film's end credits song, "Survival of the Fittest," was performed by Kid Cudi.
