Using video technology installed in his Robian systems, Uncle Chuck shows the Freedom Fighters the first use of the Roboticizer on his brother. He explains to the group that he can display videos of any event he records, but the video they just watched (which also reveals that Dr. Robotnik sabotaged the Roboticizer to use as a tool for war) was retrieved by the Robotropolis Spy Network. Chuck laments that his creation, meant to heal ailing Mobians, was turned against society. Sally interjects, suggesting that they leave Rotor to care for King Acorn while the rest of the group goes on a military retreat.

That night, the group gathers around a campfire in the Great Forest while Sally tries to encourage Uncle Chuck to use his recording software to spy on Dr. Robotnik. Chuck is wary, reflecting on how Robotnik pressured him into resigning from his role as the Kingdom of Acorn's Science Adviser and blaming himself for Sleuth "Doggy" Dawg betraying the group. Sally tries encourage him when the Freedom Fighters sense others watching nearby.

Dulcy prepares to attack, but Sonic recognizes their stalkers as Lupe and her Wolf Pack. The Wolf Pack joins the group by the fire, but Sleet and Dingo concerned that Uncle Chuck may be a spy for Robotnik. Sonic tries to defend his uncle when Griff the Goat arrives, implicating Uncle Chuck as a spy. Griff tells the group that the video Chuck received was delivered to Chuck by Sleuth Dawg. The group questions the reliability of the footage and Griff accuses Uncle Chuck's spy network of being a cover for his real purpose: working as a double-agent for Robotnik. Sonic loses his cool and punches Griff. Griff retaliates by firing a crossbow bolt with a cord attached that binds Sonic to a nearby tree. Griff takes aim with another bolt, intending to kill Sonic.

As Griff tries to regain his composure, he accuses Griff of being a spy, revealing that one of King Acorn's top generals proposed the Rebel Underground long ago. Sonic, Sally, and the other Freedom Fighters are on an assault mission in Robotropolis. Sonic uses a grappling hook to get to a rooftop, using his speed to run up whilst carrying Sally. The Wolf Pack observe from a farther distance, Sleet and Dingo saying that they should have joined them, but Lupe Wolf remarks that the Pack is not independent, and has Sleet and Dingo  signal for the other Freedom Fighters and Cyrus. The physician complains that he is not fit for combat situations, but Antoine reminds him that they may require his assistance in case of an emergency. Upon receiving communication from Sleet, Dingo and the Pack, he orders them to wait until Sonic and Sally give the signal. The Freedom Fighters briefly discuss Antoine's tense attitude, but proceed to turn their attention towards Sonic and Sally. Sonic finds Sally looking unwell, but Sally assures him that she is feeling fine, while at the same time contemplating a recent conversation with her apparently recovered father. The King, acting very secretive, summoned her to inform her that he suspected Sonic of being a traitor, and ordered her to go on the next mission along with Sonic to test his loyalty. Although overwhelmed by her father's strange behavior and accusation against her friend, Sally remains confident that Sonic is still on their side.

The two split up, Sonic crawling into a ventilation shaft, and Sally climbing down a rope on the side of the building. Robotnik, observing through a security camera, activates laser guns, forcing Sally to evade the attacks while climbing down. The Freedom Fighters begin to panic, but Rotor takes out one of his latest cannon invention, and destroys the laser sentries. Antoine, observing through his binoculars, is surprised and joyed to see Sonic back at the building. The group begins to celebrate, but then fall into shock as they see Sonic cutting the rope. A stunned Sally falls to the ground at great speed, and makes a hard landing, forcing Bunnie to fly to her aid. Fortunately, the Wolf Pack arrive, and Robotnik sits in his chamber, gloating over his apparent victory. Sonic then bursts through to confront him, but Robotnik activates a laser trap to distract Sonic while he and Snively escape through a trap door. While Robotnik and Snively escape, Sonic uses a piece of metal to reflect the lasers and destroy the guns. Antoine takes control of the Fighters' plane, despite Tails' worries of leaving Sonic behind. Sonic arrives a few seconds later at the landing site, wondering where the others have gone to. Confused, he speeds back to Knothole on foot. Meanwhile, Robotnik and Snively arrive at Robotropolis South, and Robotnik begins to plan the next move. Back in Knothole, the Freedom Fighters-minus Sonic-and Rosie anxiously await outside of Uncle Chuck's office on news of Sally, only for the doctor to appear and shake his head in dismay. The Freedom Fighters are struck with disbelief and horror at the loss of their leader, but become surprised as Sonic appears at the door. Griff the Goat arrives through the door and places Sonic under arrest, as his associate Fleming places him in handcuffs. Tails, Sonia and Manic begs that Sonic didn't do it. Sonic seems astonished, but then learns to his horror that Sally is dead and that he is the culprit. Soon, Sonic is brought before the people of Knothole to stand trial for his supposed crime, but the King refuses to believe his denial. Rather than have Sonic executed, he orders him to be imprisoned at the Devil's Gulag, while Robotnik and Snively observe through a secret camera with great amusement.

Griff and his men from Lower Mobius escort Sonic to a shuttle that will fly him to Devil's Gulag. Sonic remains adamant that he wasn't even aware of Sally's death, let alone having a role in it. However, Griff refuses to believe his pleas, and strikes his old rival before Uncle Chuck intervenes. While Antoine D'Coolette complains of Griff's men using his plane to transport Sonic, Uncle Chuck promises that Sonic will be back, though Griff is quick to refute him. Later, the remaining Freedom Fighters, Rosie, Amy Rose and Chuck discuss the horrible turn of events, with most of the group believing Sonic guilty while Chuck remains adamant that he is not and Tails, Sonia and Manic are unable to cope with Sonic's unfair trial for a murder he didn't commit. Dulcy arrives to join in the mourning, also believing Sonic to be a murderer, though Rosie is quick to try and diffuse accusations of guilt. Meanwhile, on board the plane, Sonic is contemplating how the current chain of events was set off by King Acorn's orders to invade Robotropolis, with Sonic now finding himself going to the feared prison of Devil's Gulag. He is then surprised-and displeased-to discover that he has company in the form of traitor Sleuth Dawg, who apparently believes that Sonic is a genuine traitor.

The guards aboard the plane threaten the two prisoners to remain silent, only to find their craft under attack by SWATbot in hover units, who take the craft down. Landing and investigating, the machines then find themselves under attack by a still manacle-clad Sonic, who launches into them silently and ruthlessly. Finding himself feeling the reality of war, Sonic is consumed by thoughts of Sally, his friends, and his imprisonment, destroying the SWATbots with greater skill than he has ever displayed. He then departs both destroyed aircraft, while back in Knothole Sleet and Dingo reports to King Acorn of Sonic's escape and the survival of the other occupants of the plane. The King subsequently summons Griff and orders him to make up for his failure by recapturing Sonic, which Griff promises to do. Traveling through the rain, Sonic covers his tracks before making his way into a cave, where he stops to rest and contemplate recent events, particularly the fact that he wasn't permitted to see Sally. He recalls Uncle Chuck facing similar difficulties in his own investigation, meeting with refusal of cooperation from both Cyrus and King Acorn. Chuck then approached him in his cell, warning him that there might indeed be a traitor amongst the Freedom Fighters, though he remained convinced that it was not Sonic. Promising again to see justice served, Chuck took his leave, while back in the present Sonic succumbs to the feelings brought on by past events, falling unconscious.

Outside, Griff and his men ready the creatures, the skunk splitting off from his men and carrying a handheld device as he searches for his quarry, whose speed is limited in the cave.

Sonic the hedgehog endgame the movie poster by cpeters1 ddnt3bx

Sonic the Hedgehog: Endgame is a 2026 American animated adventure comedy direct-to-video film, Based on the original comic book story "Operation: Endgame" written by Ken Penders, Kent Taylor, Mike Gallagher and Karl Bollers for Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog Issues 46-50, Sonic Super Special Issue 6 and published by Archie Comics.

Plot:

Before Griff can finish Sonic off, Antoine attacks, knocking him to the ground. As Griff tries to regain his composure, he accuses Griff of being a spy, revealing that one of King Acorn's top generals proposed the Rebel Underground long ago. The organization was never formed and the general, Antoine's father, was lost at the start of the war with Robotnik. Griff denies having known him and Manic accuses him of being a impostor. Sally breaks up the scuffle while Sonic and Bunnie explain to Tails that Manic is trying to steal things with his mentor, Ferrell the head thief before the war. Bunnie approaches Manic and rewards his bravery with a kiss.

Meanwhile, Lupe chastises Sleet and Dingo as he returns to campfire, having left with no explanation. Lupe promises to keep an eye on them, while Griff tells her that he plans to do the same with Uncle Chuck and Antoine interjects, once again calling Griff a traitor. Sally demands that the group stop arguing, reminding them that they've all proven their loyalty. She asks that they put their differences aside and hope that Knuckles finds the Sword of Acorns.

Robotnik proceeds to activate a self-destruct trap, while the Freedom Fighters bring Sally to Uncle Chuck, who informs them that they must retreat to Knothole. While the Wolf Pack stay to defend, the Freedom Fighters retreat.

Meanwhile, back in Knothole, Antoine and Bunnie Rabbot are investigating the strange behavior of King Acorn, given his recent audiences with Sleet, Dingo and Griff rather than the Freedom Fighters. Bunnie is skeptical about the notion of treachery, but Antoine is quick to point out that Sleet and Dingo has been acting suspiciously, and promises to expose any treachery. Meanwhile, Dingo approaches Sonia, announcing himself as the future duke of Robotropolis and offering her a place at his side, though Sonia's doesn't like Dingo for quick to refuse any future involvement. Dingo turns accusatory, grabbing her arm painfully and informing her, he accidentally reveals that he framed Sonic while Antoine and Bunnie listen from beneath a window. He then leaves, Sonia knows the truth and she tell Bunnie to follow Dingo. She, Manic and Dulcy are go to rescue Sonic, and the two Freedom Fighters follow him into the Great Forest, where they are then ambushed and captured by SWATbots under Sleet's command, who orders them sent to Downunda. Sonic, dreaming about his loyal dog Muttski, is rudely awakened by the sound of barking, and recognizes the noise as being that of Tasmanian Devils, feral Mobians often used for tracking. Outside, Griff and his men ready the creatures, the skunk splitting off from his men and carrying a handheld device as he searches for his quarry, whose speed is limited in the cave.

Sonic then attempts to put some distance between himself and his pursuers, struggling on the rocky ground and unaware that one of his manacles was equipped with a tracking device by Griff. He closes in on its signal, while Sonic recognizes an odor that isn't one of the Royal Army officers or a Tasmanian Devil. The two then collide and begin clashing, holding nothing back as they fight throughout the cave. Back in Knothole, King Acorn meets with the assembled Wolf Pack, Knothole, and Substitute Freedom Fighters, whom he praises for their bravery but then derides for their lack of success against Robotnik. He then announces that he intends to reinstate the office of warlord, and opens the door to reveal his candidate: Robotnik himself.

Overcoming his astonishment, a furious Rotor opens fire with his cannon, but Robotnik blocks it and then destroys it with an energy shield and laser beam generated from his mechanical arm. His SWATbots surround the assembled Freedom Fighters, while Robotnik is surprised by the presence of Uncle Chuck and Muttski, who he now realizes have been spies for the Freedom Fighters. As he gloats over his victory, Griff and Sonic's struggle continues, Griff accusing Sonic of murder while the Hedgehog vehemently denies it, both expressing their love for Sally. Sonic then knocks Griff down and rushes to a nearby exit, only to discover that it leads to a ledge overlooking a waterfall with no apparent avenue of escape. Griff corners him and lets fly a crossbow bolt, but Sonic leaps from the ledge.

Angorn Falls with Sonic jumping of a cliff into the falls. Fearing of falling to the water, he grabs some sand out of his shoe, throws it across the water, and then runs on it at super speed. He almost gets across, but falls short and lands on the shoreline. Griff the Goat sees him and orders his men to run through the catacombs to capture "That mutinous swine" Sonic. Although tired, Sonic gets up to continues his escape.

Meanwhile in Knothole, Robotnik reveals to the people of knothole the king was a fake robot built by him; he then proceeds to self-destruct it. He then tells them they will all parish with his greatest weapon yet, but will allow them to live for a short while. Meanwhile, Cyrus talks to Snively, Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts about meeting to his demands. He hands over Sally Acorn's death certificate and demands he get's his end of "end of the deal". Snively then reveals his father is captured. He charges at Snively only to be shot by his robot guards. Snively reminds the doctor his father will be released once he has done what they asked. Cyrus agrees to comply.

Back to Sonic, Sonic drags on towards Knothole when he gets the idea to whistle for Dulcy. Dulcy, Sonia and Manic arrives and agrees Sonic did not harm Sally, as dragons can scene the purity of truth. Sonic tells her to go to a disclosed location and they head off with Griff and Dirk right on their tail.

Meanwhile, Dulcy wakes up Sonic as they approach Angel Island. Just before they land, Knuckles knocks out Dulcy. Sonic and Knuckles begin to brawl, but is interrupted with Griff coming in to take out Sonic.

Some time in the past, Julian Kintobor finds himself being pursued by a pair of Overlander troops. He falls into a pit of mud and miraculously manages to evade their line of sight. A pair of brothers, Jules and Charles Hedgehog, are surprised to see Overlanders turn on their own kind. They load Julian on to their motorcycle and bring him before King Acorn. Impressed by his tactical knowledge and needing support to win the Great War, the king grants Julian the title of Warlord and lets him lead the Mobians into battle against the Overlanders. In the present, two SWATbots notice that Dr. Robotnik is having a pleasant dream and hesitantly wake their master, informing him that they've secured an Overlander as a test subject. The Overlander recognizes Robotnik as Julian, surprised that he's the famous Robotnik. Using his Ultimate Annihilator, Robotnik vaporizes the Overlander and rejoices that, once the shipment from Downunda arrives, all of Mobius will be his to take. Snively, however, has other plans for his uncle’s wonderful invention.

On the Floating Island, Sonic tries to convince Knuckles to help him clear his name, but Griff interjects, informing Knuckles that Sonic is suspected of murdering Sally Acorn. Knuckles attacks in a fit of rage, but Sonic easily jumps out of the way. Knuckle orders Vector, Mighty, Ray and Charmy, but Sonic runs towards the nearby thicket and taunts them. Espio appears nearby and restrains him. Griff and Dirk tries to get Knuckles and Espio to turn Sonic over to him, but Knuckles and Espio refuse to take orders from outsiders. Suddenly, Dulcy wakes up and breaks up the fight, explaining to everyone that she can sense that Sonic is honest when he says he didn't murder Sally. Realizing the situation at hand, Griff and Dirk proposes they work together and return to Knothole. Knuckles tells Espio to gather the Chaotix and protect the island while he helps Sonic. Sonia is telling them the truth about Sonic is innocent. Dirk opening the handcuffs off of Sonic. Griff apologized Sonic for hunting him. Sonic and Griff then share a handshake, signifying their newfound friendship.

The citizens of Knothole are rounded up for Roboticization. Rotor and Tails try to sneak into the Bathysphere and Sea Fox to escape, but are caught by Sleet, Dingo and a team of Combots. Meanwhile at Crocbot's labor camp in Downunda's Great Crater, Antoine screams in terror as Bunnie detonates his prison collar. A Combot peaks inside and contacts Crocbot, telling him that all four prisoners have been terminated. As the robotic guard leaves, Bunnie lowers herself, Antoine, Walt Wallabee and Barby Koala from the ceiling. Reuniting with the rest of the Downunda Freedom Fighters, the group scopes out the facility's loading dock. The Downunda Freedom Fighters attack Crocbot head on, distracting him while Bunnie and Antoine hitch a ride on Crocbot's airbus as it heads to Robotropolis. Dr. Robotnik tries to contact Crocbot, who tells the doctor that he's busy with an uprising but has already shipped the rare ore for the Ultimate Annihilator. Robotnik is overjoyed by the fact that he'll be able to use the ore's power to erase Knothole from existence and returns to his slumber.

Sonic, Sonia, Manic, Knuckles, the Chaotix and Griff arrive in Knothole and engage Sleet and Dingo's robotic minions to liberate the captured citizens. While the others handle the battle, Sonic and Manic looks for their traitors, finds Sleet and Dingo, and chases after them. In the airbus, Bunnie and Antoine discover a computer room playing recordings of Robotnik's plans to use the ore on board the bus to power his Ultimate Annihilator. Antoine suggests that they blow up the bus, but Bunnie realizes that maybe Crocbot set them up their own bomb. Sleet and Dingo runs into the Great Forest, Sonia throws a rock at they're heads and knocks them out. Sonic and Manic arrives and Sonia tearfully explains to them that Dingo who disgusted himself into her brother to killing Sally. Sonic reassures and thank her as they heads for Robotropolis.

Robotnik awakens from his nap as the cargo from Downunda arrives. His SWATbots inform him that Sonic has freed Knothole Village, but Robotnik brushes it off. In the rafters above, Antoine and Bunnie watch Robotnik head to his control room. Just then, Sonic storms Robotropolis, confusing the defense systems by leaving after-images of himself. Sonic, Sonia and Manic fights they're way through Robotnik's headquarters, barreling through SWATbots and easily kicking Snively, Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts aside, but ends up running headfirst into Bunnie and Antoine. They explain that they plan to sabotage Robotnik's weapon by planting a bomb from the airbus on it. Sonic approves and tells them to get to work while he deals with Robotnik. They make their way to the room housing the Ultimate Annihilator, only to discover that the weapon is already being prepared to fire.

Sonic arrives in the control room as Robotnik is finishing his countdown. While Sonic is preoccupied fending off the army of SWATbots in the room, Robotnik fires his weapon and Knothole is consumed by a massive beam of energy. Antoine places the bomb for the Annihilator and flees with Sonia, Manic and Bunnie. Robotnik's computers cry out a warning that the Annihilator has experienced a meltdown and everything in the immediate area will be vaporized. Aware that they'll likely die and have nothing left to lose, Sonic and Robotnik begin their final battle. They trade blows back and forth and are eventually enveloped in a bright light as the command center explodes.

From the void of absolute nothingness, Sonic is summoned back to Robotropolis by his One Billionth Power Ring. He passes out as others arrive on the scene. Sonic wakes up in Knothole under the care of Tails, Sonia, Manic, Rotor and Uncle Chuck. Rotor explains that Knothole has become like a Zone and exists three hours in the future compared to the rest of Mobius and that the Annihilator created several new zones. Cyrus takes his turn to explain things and tells Sonic that the Neutron Chip in his Dream Watcher left a signal that allowed Robotnik to find Knothole. Snively kidnapped Cyrus' father to force him to play along with the scheme to swap the real King Acorn for an Auto Automaton. He also mentions that he saw Snively sabotage the Ultimate Annihilator, programming it to only harm Dr. Robotnik. Cyrus had kept quiet, praying that Robotnik would be destroyed once and for all. Sonic asks about Sally, and Uncle Chuck explains that he falsified her medical records: Sally is in a coma and her "casket" is actually a recuperating chamber. Sonic rushes off to see her.

Sonic finds Sally in her glass casket and opens the lid. He admits that he loves her, gives her a kiss, and asks her to come back. Sally stirs, asking what he said, and Sonic pulls her out of the casket for a passionate kiss, telling her that he's happy to see her again. In the aftermath of Operation: EndGame the real King Acorn was found, Cyrus was exonerated of his crimes and reunited with his father. Sometime later, Griff and Lupe are getting married, the Freedom Fighters and the Choatix are planning a huge party, Sleet and Dingo were arrested and sent to the Devil's Gulag. Snively's fate, however, is left unknown.
