Magic Tree House (also known as The Magic Tree House Movie in other countries) is a 2018 American computer-animated adventure film directed by Matthew O'Callaghan and based on the book series of the same name by Mary Pope Osbourne it was the seventh theatrical film from Walt Disney Wonder Studios. The film features the voices of Owen Laramore, Lulu Wilson, Danny DeVito, Dick van Dyke, Sandra Oh, Masi Oka, BD Wong, Cedric the Entertainer, and Kathy Najimy. Veteran Disney composer Alan Menken composed the musical score for Magic Tree House.
The film was released theatrically in the United States on July 15, 2018, to generally positive reviews from critics, who commended it for its humor, animation, plot, screenplay, voice performances, and musical score. The film also grossed $157 million on a $49 million budget.
