Thumbelina is a 2022 Danish-British-Italian Animated Fantasy Film Based on the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Anderson

Reception

While it was prasied by critics for its story, humor, faithfulness and voices, it wasn't well recieved by fans, mostly due to the change of Thumbelina and the Prince's species from a human to a Butterfly. However, not every fans hated their change of species, some of the fans of the original book liked the change of species and was understandeble with the changes as it would be considered bestiality for a human to marry an animal.

Trivia

• According to Mek, John would only work on Thumbelina if Nordisk Film and Rainbow S.p.A change her and the Prince's species from humans to butterflies due to Bollard Pictures's restriction against bestiality.
